Tardiness: Arriving after the designated start time or leaving more than 10 minutes early
Make-up activity required after first 10 tardies. Additional activity for each 5 tardies thereafter
Activities are assigned by individual teachers. Will not be overly long in nature. Intended to bless, not punish the student
Inclement weather policy
On days that school is cancelled or the start time is delayed in any district, there will be no morning seminary stake wide. Note: if weather has cleared by the evening, evening classes may still be held, so watch for additional communication regarding those classes.
In case of inclement weather, the stake will send announcements on Instagram and Facebook. Emails will also be send via the emails parents provide in WISE. Individuals teachers may also reach out via class distribution lists as well.
seminary graduation requirements

Set a personalize reading goal. Some selected readings are required each semester.
Participate in a collaborate Doctrinal Mastery Learning Assessment experience each semester.
Make-Up Work
Seminaries & Institutes has discontinued use of Canvas for make-up work. It is still being used as the 4th lesson in a week for evening seminary classes.
The new seminary make-up lesson process per Seminaries & Institutes:
1) Locate the student manual for the book of scripture you need to complete lessons in. These can be found in the Gospel Library app
Books and Lessons ->Seminary -> Specific Student Manual
2) Choose which lesson(s) you would like to complete in the manual
3) Prepare to hand write your responses
Record your name, the lesson name, and your ward at the top of the page
4) Complete the lesson. Please note all questions in the lessons, including those in pull out boxes, must be answered
All make-up work must be handwritten. Typed make-up work will not be accepted.
5) Email photo(s) of your completed lesson(s) to the stake seminary supervisor assigned to your building
Stake Center - Lisa LaPierre(lisa.m.lapierre@gmail.com), Vista Ridge - Catherine Glazier (cuteflutist@hotmail.com), Regans Overlook - Amberly Hazembuller (amberlytaylor@gmail.com)
It is recommended you use a spiral or composition notebook to record your make-up lessons in. This will allow you to keep everything in one place, as a scripture journal or if you ever need to refer back to your completed work.
