The cost to attend is $60 per youth. To reserve your spot, please register and pay $60 by April 23rd. Please provide signed waivers to your ward Bishopric.

Who can attend?
All young men of the Round Rock Texas Stake who are born in 2010 and 2011 (making them of deacon-age in 2023) can attend.
How do I register?
Pay the camp cost ($60), complete and submit the registration form online, and submit the signed medical waiver to a member of your Bishopric.
What is the registration deadline?
Sunday, April 23
What is the cost to participate in this Deacons Camp?
The total cost will be $60 per boy. Adult volunteers will not be asked to pay.
How do I pay?
Funds should be paid to your Ward/Branch via tithing slip marking “Other” and noting “Stake Deacons Camp”.
Is there a refund policy?
Young men that withdraw prior to April 23 can be provided a full refund. After this date, no refunds can be given.
How will we get there?
Tejas Camp is located at 4560 Co Rd 258, Liberty Hill, TX 78642.
What accommodations will be provided?
All participants, youth and adults, will be camping. Contact your ward leaders if you need assistance finding tents and sleeping bags to borrow.
What will we eat?
The following meals will be provided at the camp: Thursday dinner, Friday breakfast, lunch and dinner. Saturday breakfast. Snacks will also be provided.
Can parents or other family members attend?
Each ward will provide adult male leaders for the camp. These leaders will need to be approved by the bishop and complete Youth Protection Training. No other adults will be allowed. If you have family members of Deacon age from another Stake that would like to attend, have them sign up on the registration page.
If I have a conflict, can I come for just part of the time?

Will I be assigned to a group? How will groups be assigned?
Yes, each youth will be assigned to a group. Groups will be assigned deliberately to give boys opportunities to meet other Deacons in the Stake.
Can I pick a tent buddy?
Yes, you can request one tent buddy. However, in order for the request to be granted, both youth have to request each other during registration. Disclaimer - we will do the best we can to accommodate all requests, but there are no guarantees. Our goal is for every youth to feel safe and included.
Can I bring a hammock?
Yes, you can bring a hammock instead of a tent. Individuals cannot share hammocks.
Are bathrooms and running water available?
Yes. The bathrooms don’t have running water, but there is running (potable) water at the camp.
Can I bring a non-member or a friend from another stake?
Yes, other young men of Deacon age are welcome to attend. Please have them sign up on the registration page.
Can I bring electronic devices?
Electronic devices will be allowed. We will encourage boys to read from their scriptures and record their experiences during the camp.

What type of dress is appropriate?
For most activities, t-shirts, shorts and close-toed shoes will be appropriate.
How should I prepare myself for Deacons Camp?
We recommend that each boy have an experience camping prior to camp.

Can I bring my pet?
No.
Can adults attend?
All adults who attend (teaching, helping, camping), must be 1) approved by your bishop and 2) have completed church youth protection training within the previous 2 years from June 10, 2023. No adult walk-ons (outside of the approved list) will be allowed on-site.
